Things are going to be different this year in the health office. I will be providing bulk, or stock medication for over the counter (OTC) medications only. This means that if I have a signed consent form from a valid parent/guardian, I will provide the following items without the parents bringing in medication:
Generic Tylenol/Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, Benadryl/Diphenhydramine, Calcium Carbonate/TUMS, Salt water gargles, Triple Antibiotic OIntment, and Hydrocortisone Cream. I will only provide if I have a signed consent. If parents/guardians would still like to provide these medications for only their students, I will still do that, but my hope is that this makes minor issues at school easier for students and parents. There are limitations to how often they will be administered here at school (please see the consents for those guidelines). If a student requires use of these medications above what is specified on the consent, I will require a signature from the physician as well.
Prescription medications for Asthma, Diabetes, ADHD/ADD, etc. will still require a signed order from a physician as well as the parent/guardian.
Here are the consents for parent/guardian reference and use:
Please print off a copy, fill it out and return to the health office, or school nurse.
